Today is International Women's Day and women around the world will be participating in the Day Without A Woman strike, while others will be taking the day off from unpaid labor like childcare as they're able to highlight women's significance in the functions of daily life and the economy.President Donald Trump took to Twitter early this morning to remind the American people that nobody respects women more than Donald Trump.

He tweeted the same messages a few minutes later from the official POTUS account, too (so, yes, his personal account came first). These comments are particularly rich coming from a man who:
- signed an expanded version of the "Global Gag Rule" (two days after the Women's March no less), which would block international health organizations from receiving US aid if they so much as talk about abortion with their patients or refer them to a place where they can get an abortion. Trump expanded the Reagan-era rule to not only apply to family planning organizations but also to general health groups, so women around the world will die from infectious diseases in addition to unsafe abortions.
- wants to prevent women with Medicaid and other low-income women from getting healthcare including birth control, cancer screenings, and STD tests at Planned Parenthood and any clinic that provides abortions
- wants to sign a 20-week abortion ban into law
- committed to nominating pro-life justices to the Supreme Court
