Looking for some stuff to catch up on this weekend? Whether it's TV, movies, books, or anything in between—VICE has you covered. Read on for our staff recommendations on what to take in during your downtime:

WATCH 'A QUIET PLACE' AND DON'T MAKE A SINGLE NOISE

A Quiet Place, directed by John Krasinski—who plays alongside his real life wife Emily Blunt—impressed me, and kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the movie. Full of cornfields and dusty roads, A Quiet Place presents a post-apocalyptic world somewhere in deep America where people whisper and talk in sign languages even though they’re not mute. Everyone walks barefoot everywhere, and some sort of flour or sand are spread along the main paths so nobody makes a sound. What happens when you accidentally let out a squeak? You die. Part Cloverfield, part Don’t Breathe, A Quiet Place is a must watch. —Yudhistira Agato

TALK FILM AND PHILOSOPHY AT 'PHILOSOPHIZEME'

Philosophizeme is back, and it’s asking you the hardest-hitting questions: Can you lie to protect someone’s feelings? Is it OK to steal to feed your family? What does it mean to be morally Good? Where does our moral values come from? Should we extend our ethics to animals? This Saturday, the Jakarta Cinema Club is hosting a discussion on humans’ ethical dilemmas by visiting ideas from Sidney Lumet’s 1957 film 12 Angry Men. Get ready to be challenged, and to fall in love with philosophy. —Rizky Rahadianto

WATCH JAPANESE CYBERPUNK ROCK BAND IJEN KAI IN ACTION

If you like your rock music to be performed by dudes in elaborate costumes that looked like a crossover between Darth Vader and the Predator, then you can’t miss the performance of Ijen Kai this weekend. Musically, the three piece plays their own take of electro-industrial rock that may interest those who enjoy bands like Nine Inch Nails or Orgy (are they still a band?). They are playing Bandung’s Spasial this Saturday with Kelelawar Malam, Ancient, Brigade of Crow and Singapore’s punk band Zodd (who also happen to be touring Indonesia), and Jakarta’s Rossi Musik on Sunday with Merah Berdarah, Individual Distortion, Bisinggama, The Colour Mellow and Cyber Death. Looking at their theatrical performances on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r1_KNMTA_pU, you might wanna drag yourself out for this. —Yudhistira Agato
